WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:
- Estimated Compensation (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications)
- Engineer I: $95,000 - $115,000, plus annual bonus
- Engineer II: $110,000 - $130,000, plus annual bonus
- Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
- Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
- Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2024, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion
- Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2024, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally, you will receive two floating holidays in 2024 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Lead the end-to-end development but with a heavier lean on the backend, testing, and integration of modern applications and systems that enhance capabilities for products and services across ESS, aligning with enterprise growth initiatives.
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions to generate innovative solutions, developing high-performance applications, APIs, and data solutions that drive technological advancement.
- Adapt to various roles, whether as an individual contributor, leader, teacher, or mentor, fostering a collaborative and versatile team environment.
- Develop a deep understanding of ESS, proactively addressing their objectives and challenges, while identifying and resolving technical issues through innovative solutions and independent problem-solving.
- Assess and optimize solutions, balancing performance tradeoffs for maximum benefit, and using strong conflict resolution and collaboration skills to navigate technical disagreements and drive successful project outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- RESTful API Development & Event-Driven Architecture: Proficient in developing with Java/Spring Boot, designing, implementing, and maintaining RESTful APIs, defining API contracts, and experienced with event-based systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Front-End & UI Development: Skilled in front-end development using modern frameworks, especially Vue.js, and experienced with cloud integration for front-end applications on AWS CloudFront (Azure experience is a plus).
- Containerization & Cloud Deployment: Proficient in containerizing applications using Docker, with knowledge of Kubernetes, and experienced in deploying applications to cloud environments.
- Data Management & Optimization: Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, optimizing, and managing data across multiple databases such as DB2 and SQL Server.
- Code Quality, Collaboration, and Agile: Focused on writing maintainable, testable code following SOLID principles, committed to teamwork, pair programming, and peer reviews, and experienced in Agile environments using tools like JIRA and Confluence.

- Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
