Looking for a dynamic internship that blends event planning with creative marketing? East Campus Realty, LLC, a Mutual of Omaha subsidiary, is looking for an energetic, organized, and creative Events & Marketing Intern to join the Midtown Crossing marketing team. This paid internship is your chance to gain hands-on experience while making an impact on one of Omaha’s most vibrant urban neighborhoods.

As a paid intern, you’ll work 20 hours per week from May to September 2025, with a mix of evenings and weekends for events, and weekday hours for marketing collaboration. Most of your time will focus on bringing Midtown Crossing’s signature events to life, but you’ll also help shape timely marketing campaigns, spark fresh ideas, and contribute to current social media projects. This role offers the chance to build valuable skills, connect with the community, and enhance and discover your skills.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Hourly Wage: $18.00
  • Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Assists with execution of Turner Park events.
  • Serves as a public ambassador for the company at events, online and in community.
  • Develops content for Midtown Crossing online platforms.
  • Assists with projects and completes routine work assignments as directed by management.
  • Interacts with internal and external business customers.
  • This position will require you to work in outdoor conditions, may require constant standing or walking for extended periods of time and requires you to lift, move, or carry heavy objects.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Knowledge of and ability to use various business software applications on a personal computer including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Skills in oral and written communication, human relations, creativity.
  • Ability to analyze material and exercise judgement, be flexible.
  • Effective customer service skills; ability to interact in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle; must have a current valid Drivers License.

  • Ability to work at our office located in Omaha, Nebraska, in a hybrid environment. 

PREFERRED:

  • Previous event/ marketing and communications experience (regular employment, internship, or university club/ group).
